The Night the Bunny Came to Life

When I chose the bunny for my logo, I already knew the magic they held. I had felt it and witnessed it in my own life. Rabbits are not just gentle creatures of the field—they are guardians of the hedge, the liminal spaces where worlds meet. It makes perfect sense that they chose me, too. I am a walker between realms, carrying messages from shadow to light, from spirit to body, from the unseen into the everyday.
The night we went out to celebrate the launch of The Everyday Witch Blog, a woman appeared carrying a tiny rabbit in her hands. It didn’t move at all—it looked frozen, caught in the in-between.
But when she passed it to me, something shifted. Its ears perked, its body stirred, and it tried to hop free. It wasn’t just a rabbit—it was a mirror of my logo, of my path, of my work. It came to life as if it had hopped right off the logo and into the world, reminding me that what I carry in symbol is alive in spirit.
Later that night, when we returned home, I saw a spirit bunny hop right through my house. A second blessing, a confirmation, a reminder: rabbits are weavers between realms, guardians of the hedge. They know the paths through shadow and light, body and spirit, here and there.
And maybe that’s why they’ve always been drawn to me. At home, I live in what I lovingly call “bunny utopia”—real, live rabbits who share my land, my garden, my daily life. They’ve chosen their spots, claimed their places, and keep watch like sentinels of the veil.
Rabbits are soft, gentle, abundant, fertile, and endlessly creative. Their appearance that night was no mere coincidence—it was a reminder that magic is real. That my blog, once only an idea in spirit, has now crossed the veil into the 3D.
It was the universe showing me that I can trust the process. When you are in alignment with your destiny, animals and nature will respond. They reflect your energy, they affirm your path, and they remind you that everything is alive. Everything is energy.
And for me, it further confirmed my role as guide. Where I once walked only with the dead, now I walk with the living as well—to hold a safe space in-between what was and what will never be again. Just as the bunny found safety in my hands, may this space become a sanctuary for you, the reader, as you begin to remember your own magic.
