Reading the Bones: Finding My Way Back to an Old Language

This is a glimpse into my working set—pieces that arrived slowly, through fairs, oddity shows, and moments of quiet recognition. Nothing here was rushed. Nothing here was accidental.
This is a glimpse into my working set—pieces that arrived slowly, through fairs, oddity shows, and moments of quiet recognition. Nothing here was rushed. Nothing here was accidental.

We’ll try this again—I’ve had a bit of writer’s block lately.

So, let’s just start where the story actually begins.

A couple of months back, a friend and I went to one of our local psychic fairs. While wandering around, we stumbled into a class on bone reading. And of course—being me—I was instantly intrigued. Any new divination method that crosses my path is basically an invitation.

The class itself felt a little generic, and the bone sets we were given weren’t quite what I expected. But it was just enough to spark something. Enough curiosity. Enough remembering.

So, while we were there, I picked up a couple of bones that really resonated with me. Then over the next few months—through psychic fairs, oddity shows, and quiet moments of listening—I kept collecting. Slowly, intuitively, I built an extensive bone kit that feels deeply personal. Not bought as a set. Not copied. Gathered.

And yes, I know some of you have heard the debate:

“If it’s not your ethnic background, it’s not yours to practice.”

Here’s my honest take.

It is my grandkids’ background.

And beyond that—what if I already learned this in another lifetime? What if this is remembering, not borrowing?

I was told long ago to “stay in my lane.”

I don’t do that anymore.

Okay—ethnic rant over. Let’s talk bones.

There’s More Than One Way to Read the Bones

There are several different methods of bone reading, and none of them are “one size fits all.” Like tarot, like runes, like gemstones—the right system is the one that responds to you.

The system I’m currently learning (and yes, learning—I’m not a master yet) is one I call:

The Axis of the Ancestors

It’s structured as a series of energetic circles:

Inner Circle — The Personal Realm

Closest to you:

• Emotions

• Body

• Intuition

• Identity

Middle Circle — The External Realm

The world around you:

• Relationships

• Work

• Opportunities

Outer Circle — The Spirit Realm

Beyond the visible:

• Fate

• Spirit guides

• Ancestors

• Divine timing

The Edge of the Cloth — The Threshold

• Choice

• Transition

• Shifts in direction

Off the Cloth

• Leaving a timeline

• What no longer belongs to you

• Burdens you’re not meant to carry

I’m still experimenting with how I like to throw the bones. And honestly—that’s half the magic. Learning isn’t about getting it perfect. It’s about discovering what feels alive in your hands.

Will this system evolve?

Probably.

Will it stick forever?

Maybe, maybe not.

And that’s okay.

A Quick Note (and a Small Warning)

If you’re a subscriber, I’ll be uploading my full bone-reading system to the member page so you can explore it and see if it resonates with you.

Fair warning though—have paper ready.

It’s basically a mini-book.

I think it’s around 25 pages 😅

If you’re not a subscriber, no worries at all. I’ll also be adding it to the shop so you can grab a copy whenever you feel called.

And if you’re just curious about what I’ve been up to lately—now you know.

I’m still far more fluent in gemstone readings (come to me for those, I’ve got you 😆), but this bone journey has been grounding, ancestral, and quietly powerful.

If something here sparked for you, follow it.

If not, that’s okay too.

Have a blessed day, evening, or whatever moment you’re in.

Love you ❤️
