Gemstones… What Are They?

Many of you know me as the crazy crystal lady. I feel them, I hear them, I channel messages from them. I use them for healing, and I use them for magic.

You’re probably going to get sick of me saying this, but it’s true: we are not separate from nature—we are an aspect of it. Once we realize that, the doors of communication and understanding open wide.

Now, I have something to share that I’ve never read in a book or been taught, but I believe it to be true—so I’m going to share it with you.

A lot of you have heard me say that each crystal is essence of. But what does that mean?

Here’s the story as it was given to me:

I believe in fairies. And if you don’t, well, you can stop reading here—because this is where it gets interesting.

The fae explained gemstones to me like this: they aren’t simply infused with fairy energy the way books describe flowers having fairy guardians (that’s true too, but another story for another time). Gemstones are special because they are literally fae.

When a fae passes away, it returns to earth. In doing so, it creates a mineral reaction that forms a gemstone. That’s why no two stones are ever truly the same. Even if they share the same type, each one carries a completely unique vibration.

So, when the fae leave this world, they gift us with hidden gems of knowledge and healing. If you learn to listen, you too can hear them.

And here’s the part we often forget: being as these gems are literally the ancestors, they deserve our respect. They are not just tools or pretty things to collect—they are living memory and wisdom, here to guide, support, and heal. The more care and reverence we give them, the deeper the relationship they offer us in return.
